Aug 10: Day 8 in a Nutshell

Today started in Watson Lake,  Yukon and ended in Haines Junction, Yukon.



Highlights

Mid morning we stopped at a rest area to stretch and read informational signs that told about the region's geology.  A RV pulled in behind us and a man got out and joined us at the signs. He asked if we were from Virginia.  Found out he was former military and had been stationed at a base in Tidewater and stayed several years after in the state.  He is now 73 years old and been a permanent RVer for 3 years.  He travels in the summer months and then heads to Texas for the winter.  Makes me think about getting an RV....
