It's another slow, relaxing morning. Katherine joins us. We munch on sausage balls and drink coffee. We pack and tidy up. A few things were moved around for the brunch and we want to leave things like Donna had them.
We say goodbye to The Gathering Inn and hello to Aunt May's Getaway. We have stayed here before. I don't consider us creatures of habit. I will say, however, that without any discussion we each gravitated to the room we had used before.
At 1:00pm BB and I meet with realtor Lori at The Girl and the Raven. We plan to live in Abingdon when our Alaska adventure ends. Over coffee we describe our dream home for Lori. Lori prods us with additional questions about our ideal house. Then come one or two pesky questions about budgets; necessary questions but definitely not the fun part of house hunting. Lori has neighborhoods she believes will interest us and offers to show them to us. Yes! We spend a pleasant and informative afternoon driving around Abingdon with Lori. BB and I enjoyed the time with Lori and look forward to working with her.
We are back at Aunt May's in time for the evening festivities. Today is Fuzz's ( AKA Derek's) birthday! Dinner is takeout from Osaka Japanese Steakhouse. I enjoyed and recommend the Hibachi Chicken. We regaled Fuzz with a list of family traditions. We didn't realize how many there were until we started listing them. (Maybe we ARE creatures of habit!). Then cake, ice cream and presents.
